Snowboarding Tricks - What Not To Do
You you decided it is time to start learning some new cool snowboarding tricks right? That is a wise decision. You can impress your friends and the girls on the slopes, show off what you got and maybe even form a personal fan club. Alright, maybe you wont gain a fan club, but at least you will look hot out there.
Before you start, you should really do a lot of research and hang out with some experienced snowboarders. Keep in mind that there are a lot of things you should not do when it comes to performing your snowboarding tricks. Here are some tips and guidelines you can follow.
Don't:
Get boots that are too tight on your feet. When you put your boots on they should be nice and comfortable. Too many of us are under the assumption that it is fine if they hurt a some because you will break them in. No. Always purchase boots that fit snugly without feeling like they're too tight.
Start off by buying a long board. Don't buy an expensive board to start with, you want to get a cheap board so you can mess it up during all your learning mistakes without too much worry. You are, after all, just starting out. Purchasing a long board or a really expensive one isn't a good idea.
Be embarrassed if you fall. Big deal. Do you know how many times professionals like Sean White have fallen? Tons. Everyone falls, it is just something you have to go through if you are going to become really good at any snowboard trick.
Start doing advanced snowboarding tricks too early. Start out slow. The harder stuff will come with time.
Practice alone. Always have a group of buddies with you when you're practicing your tricks in case you seriously hurt yourself. It has happened to many people in the past and it will in the future. At least have one other person with you.
Alright, well that was enough for today. Now you can go out there and start practicing those sweet snowboarding tricks!
