Natural Skin Care: How to Treat Adult Acne

by Abigail McKenzee

Once puberty is over you never have to worry about acne breakouts, ever again. However, that isn't always true for everyone. A significant percentage of the population develops what is known as adult acne.

Just like teenage acne, there is apparently no particular cause. Many experts say that adult acne is genetic and/or hormonal. Fortunately, there are a series of successful treatment options for all types of acne.

Before you decide to ignore your acne pimple, please remember that an untreated acne condition can lead to acne scarring. I am sure that you would prefer to deal with your acne on a daily basis than have to live with the scars it can produce.

To help you with your fight against adult acne, we will focus on one type of acne treatment: natural skin care.

Natural Acne Treatment

For the most part, acne problems are usually treated with a medicated acne cream or a rigorous cleansing routine. However, you can use natural methods to help deal with your acne problems in a gentler fashion.

In general, you should avoid popping any pimples or picking at any scabs. Both of these actions will promote redness and irritation as well as lead to scarring. Also, try and keep your hair out of your face. Hair can easily transfer oils and possible bacteria to your skin.

Other simple tips include eating more fresh fruits and vegetables and less fried food or junk foods. Now, let's take a look at the natural products you can use to alleviate your acne problems.

Tea Tree Oil

Tea tree oil is gathered from the Melaleuca alternifoliais tree which originates from Australia. It contains bacteria-fighting substances called "terpenes" which make it very effective against acne. Pimples are often caused by bacteria which can be destroyed using terpenes.

Tea tree oil doesn't cause side effects, however, it can irritate sensitive skin, so be careful.

Aloe Vera

Aloe vera is very rich in enzymes and has anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties.

Honey

Honey is a very common acne treatment. It has been used as an anti-bacterial product for centuries. Because of its low water content and acidic pH level, it is a poor environment for the growth of bacteria.

This is amazing news for acne sufferers. As mentioned before, acne is generally caused by bacteria which means that if you use honey masks - or another ingredient with similar properties - you could actually be helping eliminate the acne causing bacteria.

A quick and effective acne treatment is the key to preventing acne scars and promoting healthy skin. BIOSKINFORTE is a natural adult acne cream that contains Helix aspersa muller extract. This amazing natural ingredient has both antiseptic and anti bacterial properties that help eliminate the bacteria that are responsible for causing acne.
